This 10" brass backed dovetail saw bears the mark of Wade, Wingfield & Rowbotham from circa 1850. The saw is in quite good condition for its age and with a touch up with a file will join my "for use" section.

That's a very desirable saw indeed, and if it's straight, it will be a very pleasant tool to use. Agree about the likely dating.

The saw is nice, the handle is exceptional. Virtually perfect horns and a lovely colour.

    Thanks both,

It is quite straight too. One of my better finds.
