I picked up this Tyzack saw for £1 at a recent car boot sale. Unfortunately the blade, which has been sharpened in the past like a rolling sea, is very thin and flexible and has a sideways wave in it. Can anybody date it?
Here are some photographs of the saw.

My first thoughts were 1870 to 1914 on the basis that it has split nuts which gives it the upper end of the date, and 1870, well because it just "looks" no earlier than that.

HSMOB has Tyzack Sons and Turner from 1867 to 1990 but he has them as a limited company in 1906 and which they may have put on their marks after that date. I don't know. And so you are probably looking at the last third of the 19th century.

I hope that someone else can do better.

Thanks for that. Very interesting to know that it's even older than me.
