A little gem that I look forward to putting back to use . The brass back was polished up by a previous owner but the rest looks pretty much untouched ( other than the replacement iron bolt ) Any input on age or history is always greatly appreciated .
As I have no doubt you have already seen, you saw’s stamp has some similarities to another recent-ish find by Gareth Great pity the rearward flat saw-screw has been replaced (quite neatly) with a m/s rivet made from what looks like a 6” round nail
I haven’t attempted to remove ( and won’t ) the iron bit , but I believe it’s threaded as the split nut is on the other side holding it in . I could be wrong . It is sort of a pity , but then again , it also tells a story like the scars we carry from our adventures .
