On Sunday I bought an armfull of saws (9, to be precise) at a market for $10. Almost entirely of no consequence, but for $10... This one intrigued me: https://picasaweb.google.com/timrobinson22/Saws?authkey=Gv1sRgCMy2rJ-4l9HslgE#5794267745879273826 Presumabley it started life as a full size something and over its longish life wen through a few modifications. Cleaning it up showed initials engraved on the blade: https://picasaweb.google.com/timrobinson22/Saws?authkey=Gv1sRgCMy2rJ-4l9HslgE#5794267966430270754 Is this common? What is nice is that one the reverse of the handle (and I photographed the wrong side didn't I?) are the initials C L. I don't think it is my imagination, but the carved initials look a little childish. Was this a saw that had done sterling service and was cut down rather than being scrapped and given to the owner's son Regards, Tim
