This 14" brass backed tenon saw by H.G. Long & Co from circa 1850 is one of my favourites. I like London pattern handles. The style of the Sheffield stamp being so different to the other stamps also appeals to me. Merry Christmas to all members. Rustyoldion
It is as very nice saw and I think that it is a mark that is not recorded in BSSM. There are similar marks, but they are more indistinct and they are for Long and Hawksley. If you have Simon's email, and I have looked correctly, it may be worth dropping him a line to see if he wants a copy of it. Fred
