Does this poor stamp inspire anyone?

I was starting (weakly) to think "H Hormer & Co" ...

or ... "??? Merchant/s"

That, believe it or not is the sort of saw that I like. One that proudly displays its use and abuse. By the looks of it, it looks English and if it is a Holmer then it is English.

I don't think that there is much more to say, except that I love those large blank medallions.

I think Fred nailed it. I am also wondering if it says "Best Cast Steel" London then very faintly to the right of the London maybe some more stamping that might be Warranted. Amazing what you can conger up if you squint real hard while you stand back.
