    Hello all,

I think that this is a very early saw (7 1/2 inch back), as did one other bidder unfortunately, but there is no name on it.

Owing I think to the extensive and deep corrosion on the back.

There is not a lot more to say really except disappointment, but never mind,

    Nice Fred
I have to agree with the early designation. There may not have been any stamp on the spine. There may though have some sort of mark on the plate as some of the Birmingham makers did which would be very interesting. It may have been a little dear but I think it predates a lot of other saws and there just isn't many out there.
    Well done.

    Hi Fred,
Even without a readable makers mark, with that extreme taper on the spine and that egg-shaped boss, it could only be a very early saw, certainly 18c. As Joe says, well done and there aren't many out there. That's a super find.
