Challenge Saws

    Has anyone ever heard of Challenge Saws? I bought 1 at a garage sale this summer and haven't been able to find out anything about it. I can make out the name but that is about it. It is a crosscut saw.

    Hi Dave,

    I don't know of a Challenge saw, but Disston did make a Challenger handsaw.

    I have put a photo on the site already.

    Rather than searching through the topics if you go to

    then you will find an image of the Challenger and a bit of blurb.

    If this link doesn't work go to page 2 of this part of the forum and "From Cockerill to Cockerel (and Disston).

    If it is not the same saw, then an image of your saw would be useful.
