Hello all, This has been on for some time. (And it has three days to go. Ends 12/03/2013 UK date format). http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/200903454259?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2648 It is currently at USD227. Does anyone know why? I have never heard of them (it) before but that doesn't mean a lot. It is getting up towards Kenyon prices. Hoping to be enlightened, possibly when the bidding is finished, Fred
Fred, All I know is the seller Micheal Merlo is a well respected saw Dr. in the states and his ebay prices generally go out of sight....Why? Good question
I get the feeling this is not that old a saw, somehow, although the eBay description suggests first 1/2 of 19th C. Most interesting is that the back is not struck, but the blade is! Has anyone seen this before? When did they start making English style backsaws in Germany/Austro-Hungarian Empire? Cheers Peter
