Checklist of British Saw Makers

Data for this checklist has been source from a wide range of sources, I would like to thank the University of Leicester for permission to reproduce data from their amazing historical directories site, the Sheffield Records Online, "Some 19th Century Woodworking Tools" by Kenneth D Roberts and "Handsaw makers of Britain" by Erwin L Schaffer and Don McConnell. Other data has been source from directories that I have on CD's from a variety of sources. Regardless of the effort, this list is always going to be incomplete, since some makers will fall into years where there are gaps in the directory listings, as such it is always going to be a work in progress. If you have a saw, where the maker doesn't appear on this list. Let me know and I will add a relevant record.
