This saw came from a local estate auction (along with a nice 28" Taylor Brothers rip :)).
The tip of the blade has been broken off, but it looks like it used to be about 28" long based on the positions of the nib and of the name stamp(It will be 24" after I smooth off the broken end) and its 7" deep at the heel.
The blade stamp reads "M Marshall." over "German Steel", with three crowns surrounding. (I'm guessing thats Martin Marshall of Sheffield, c1830s)
Teeth are very coarse at about 3.2ppi (22 teeth in 10 inches)
The handle has a chipped top horn, but is otherwise good, although two of the original three split nuts have been replaced.

Wow that is gorgeous Kiwi! That is just about my favourite style of handle...:)
It looks very early, I thought 28" saws were a little bit later than M.Marshall dates.
    Thanks for sharing
