Addition to Timeline

    Ray,

    I notice that your Timeline is pretty complete, but lacks one of the most significant changes in saw making in the more than 400 years it covers.

    In 1996 Pete Taran came up with the slotted back. This is by far one of the most significant changes to saw making, IMO.

    Seems to be worthy of having a spot on the Timeline.

    Yes, I agree, I'll add slit backs to the timeline.

    If I can figure out how to do it.. :) I'll move these posts to the timeline thread.

    Ray,

    I might be able to help, but not sure. Seems that is done in php.

    It is pretty cool how it scrolls horizontally with the mouse, I like that.

    I'd have to see how the code is done and/or if it's accessing the data in a database, such as MySQL.

    I looked at it briefly last night and just saw that it was calling PHP from the HTML.
