Can anybody date this Tyzack saw? I think it has a very nice handle but, unfortunately, the very thin blade has a wave in it.

    Hey Wiskywill
Simon in BSSM tells us that the elephant and "nonpaireil" trademarks were adopted after 1876. Simon has a lot of pics of different stamps over their long history up until 1974. I want to suggest that the date would range from 1890-1920. I don't see a lot of variation on the stamps compared to yours. Simon also includes saws with product numbers yet I don't see one included in your picture and wonder if it is further along on the spine. Don't know if this helps but someone else may have something more specific to particular dates on this manufacturers saws. Handle is in nice shape.
    Enjoy, looks very nice.

Thanks for the info. I will check the spine for a number.
