Henry Rich 10" steel back sawKerf for the blade in the handle is not straight. This probably accounted for some of the handle off set.May 03, 2012
HenryRichNuts.jpg
Henry Rich 10" steel back sawCast brass nuts and bolts. Very crude and very bent. The saw probably took a beating to get them that bent.May 03, 2012
HenryRichFullTop.jpg
Henry Rich 10" steel back sawYou can see how twisted the handle is. Not sure if this was a design feature or the result of warping over the years.May 03, 2012
HenryRichBladeBack.jpg
Henry Rich 10" steel back sawAfter giving it a good few hard whacks with a hammer and steel blocks, the back is finally removed for cleaning. You can see the original line where the back is supposed to be and where it ended up later in its life. The handle area is also severely pitted.

Back is 6.65mm thick, 19.4mm tall and saw plate is 0.6mm thick.
